Richard Allen Glanzman passed away on March 15, 2023. He was born in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to Jack and Eileen Glanzman.

He graduated from Shortridge High School and Butler University with a degree in Business Administration. After completing his college education he spent two years in the US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky in the office of the Inspector General. Upon completion of his military service, he worked for the Department of Defense as a Contracting Officer and later as the DoD Manager of Contracts with Allison Division of GMC. He was respected by those he supervised and the management of General Motors Division where he was assigned. Upon his retirement in March of 1990 he received a letter of appreciation from the Director of Finance of Allison which he said, "Your advice, assistance and counsel have been very helpful to me and my staff and have been a key element in fostering an excellent working relationship."

Following his retirement he enjoyed traveling, spectator sports, and spending time with family and friends. He was a pet and animal lover and had many dogs that were special to him. He supported many animal shelters such as Hamilton County Humane Society and FACE. He will be remembered as a caring and thoughtful person who always tried to help those who had problems or needed help.

Richard was preceded in death by both his parents and brother Jack.

He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity as well as Blue Key National Honor Fraternity at Butler University. He was also a lifelong member of the American Legion. Donations may be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society in his memory. Leppert Mortuary - Nora is handling the arrangements.

A committal service will be conducted at the Community Mausoleum Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery on Monday, March 20th at 1pm.
