Peter Barneycastle was the son of Frederick & Elizabeth Barneycastle. He was born in Rowan County, but today the area is Clemmons in Forsyth County. He was married and had children, and lived in Davidson County. Unfortunately the names of his wife and children are still unknown, though he had a son, Peter Jr. He was living with Rebecca and Alexander Davis later in life so I'm assuming Rebecca is also his daughter though her last name was Wall in the marriage record. Also possible his wife's maiden name was Davis. His brother Francis is buried nearby as is sister Esther Barneycastle White. Brother John was the progenitor of the Davie county Barneycastles, some shortened their name to Barney, all of that family buried in Davie County. Peter's son, Peter, married Margaret Ball/Bale, and his grand daughter Margaret ended up marrying Patrick McAuley in West Virginia.
