Marvin Barry, 87, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on March 12, 2023. His beloved wife of over 61 years, Marlene Isobel Barry, precedes him in death, having passed only 2 short months ago. Marvin is survived by his children, Stacey Lisi (Joseph), Randi Maneri (Joseph), Howard Barry (Kelly); grandchildren, Kristin (Brett), Samantha (Ben), Jesse, Hailey, Jordan, Chloe, Matthew, Kendall, Ben, and Scott. Originally from Bronx, NY, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, after which he worked tirelessly as an insurance adjuster for over 30 years to provide for his family. Marvin loved all of his New York teams, and his passion for sports led him to coaching youth teams, even ones his children weren't on. He was involved with and donated often to both the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Virginia Holocaust Museum, as well as a supporter of the U.S.O. Above all, he loved and adored his family, his grandchildren being what his world revolved around. His family and friends will deeply mourn his passing. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Virginia Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Courthouse, VA.
