She was born September 22, 1920 in Feenyville to the late George Washington (Washie) Bennett and Effie Rogers Bennett.
She was a member of Glendale Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was a devoted Christian, enjoyed doing for others, loved gospel music, and loved feeding her friends and family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Eddie" Edward Glover; 3 sons, Robert Glover, Wilbur Glover, and David Glover; daughter, Lynda Glover McCarty; 3 brothers, Kenneth Bennett, Buddy Bennett and James Bennett; 2 sisters, Eva Dale Phillips and Lilly Mae Jones; grandchildren, John David Glover, Jr., Dewayne and Janice's infant son, Charles Richard Bolen, Jr., Tyler Gilliam, Gerald Glover and Jared Glover; and son-in-law, David Jackson.
Survivors include 2 sons, Dewayne (Janice) Glover and Gary (Debbie) Glover; daughter, Rita Jackson, all of Star City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great great great-grandchildren; special friend, William Bill Woods; and her two devoted caregivers and granddaughters, Stephanie Jackson and Shelley Jackson Burr.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 1:30-2:00PM at Newton Chapel Cemetery with graveside services following at 2:00PM with Bro. Tobie Foster officiating.
Pallbearers are Chris Glover, Dana Glover, Brent Glover, Scott Glover, Jake Hibbard, Jackson Burr, Coty Bolen, Jonathan Hibbard, Grant Atwood, Jared Hibbard and Jackie Glover.
