Marjorie E. Brand McConnell age 90 of Portage, Michigan and a longtime former Sturgis resident passed away Tuesday morning February 28, 2023 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Marjorie E. Brand McConnell will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 18th at the First United Church, 200 Pleasant St. in Sturgis. Longtime friend Pastor Robert Keim will officiate. Private burial of the remains will take place at Sturgis Memorial Gardens in Sturgis at a later date.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
