Mr. Clarence Bailey, age 82, of Marion, N.C. passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Sunrise Rehabilitation and Care.
A native of Polk County, he was born on August 31, 1925 to the late William Edward Bailey and Margaret Hensley Bailey.
Clarence was a member and former Deacon of Yancey Street Baptist Church and was retired as a construction contractor. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during WWII. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and caring husband and father.
His wife, Ruth Lentz Bailey preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Larry Bailey and his wife Wendy of Marion; a sister, Alma Bailey Isaacs of Dysartsville; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Berryhill and Brianna Souther.
Burial will be in the Barnes Cemetery.
