Leota M. Klima, wife of Charles J. Klima, 1645 A avenue NE, a resident of Cedar Rapids for 54 years, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday following a long illness. Born March 31, 1890, in Grundy Center, she was married in Cedar Rapids on Aug. 21, 1920.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Charlotte Knisley of Marion and Constance Switzer of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Charles J. Klima, jr., and Richard E. Klima, and her mother, Mrs. Charlotte A. Moody, all of Cedar Rapids, and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Klima was a charter member of the Cedar Rapids chapter of the Gray Ladies, and was a past president of the marine auxiliary, and was a graduate of Washington high school in 1909.
Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday by the Rev. W.A. Ehlert, pastor of the Kenwood Methodist church. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel before 9:30 a.m. Friday as the casket will not be opened after the service.
