Born in Chicago to the late Abert and Bernice Davis, Elaine moved to St. Louis in 1942 where she would raise her family. Loving mother of Stanford (Mueriel) Carp and Bernice Carp. Beloved grandmother of Elizabeth (Brad) Wallace, Scott (Jamie) Berzon, Brian (Heather) Carp and Adam (Nina) Berzon. Doting great-grandmother of nine. Wife of the late Jack Oberman and the late Herbert Carp.

Elaine was the matriarch of her family, giving advice without judgment, showing pride in their accomplishments, always there to offer support or a hand. A caring friend and consummate hostess, she made the best matzo ball soup and brisket. Elaine graduated from Clayton High School and routinely knew the answer to Final Jeopardy into her 90s.
