Doris V. Mennen, 77, of New Richmond, died at 5:01 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born June 19, 1930, in Sullivan County, and educated in New Richmond. Her parents were Marvin and Delcie Jane Mounts Bishop.

Her marriage was to Harvey Glenn Mennen on Sept. 26, 1948. He died Sept. 24, 1997.

She baked wedding and specialty cakes.

Mrs. Mennen was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lafayette and attended Elmdale Community Church. She was a member and past secretary of the Linden Conservation Club and past member of Round Hill Aid.

Surviving are two sons, Harold (Linda) Mennen and Denny (Kathy) Mennen, two sisters, Margaret McClure and Millie Hanna, two brothers, Jim Bishopand Jerry Bishop four grandchildren, Jason, Melissa,, Mike and Ryan and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Freida Wasmer, Lois Matthews, Beulah Page and Helen Yates and a brother, Dale Bishop.
