Patsy Boyd Brost passed away peacefully and returned to her Father in Heaven on February 20, 2023. Patsy was born to Clarence Andrew Boyd and Luella Fillerup Boyd on February 18, 1931 in Loveland, CO. She was born the 3rd child out of 14. She married Emil Brost on September 4, 1947 and they had 9 children.

Patsy spent much of her childhood with her parents moving often. They would follow the crops and all the kids would work picking fruit right along with the grownups. To Patsy, moving often like they did was just a grand adventure to her! She loved seeing new places and meeting new people. Patsy always was mindful of her younger brothers and sisters, and when they were growing up she would make sure they had fireworks for the 4th of July, had extra special Thanksgivings, Christmas's and birthdays goodies. Every one of her siblings have a special place in their hearts for the joy and light that she brought into their lives. She will be so missed by every one of them.

Patsy married Emil Brost when they were both teenagers and they had 9 children by the time Patsy was 29 years old. Patsy was a strong, determined, fun loving, and caring person. She took in many extra children to care for, always looked out for the elderly, and loved and felt compassion for all people. She loved to work and would take on contracts to hoe beets, clean houses, work in cafes, etc. Because she got married as a teenager she didn't graduate from high school. She eventually went on and got her GED, then went onto college and became a PE teacher and a Librarian. She loved working with the kids at school and was especially good with the little ones, but also really enjoyed working with teenagers. Everyone loved being around Patsy because she made everything seem so fun. Patsy always made you feel that you had a great day if you got to spend time with her. Patsy was an amazing example of strength and perseverance. She always knew there was literally nothing she couldn't do. Now she is on her next Grand Adventure!!

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Carrie Jo Ferguson (Troy) Middleton, ID; John Brost (Sharon) Thornton, CO; Chris VanDam (Jim) Boise, ID; Billie Jean Rettinghouse Clearmont, WY; Jay Brost (Diana) Thermopolis, WY; Kelly Brost (Renee) Riverton, WY; Jim Brost (Teresa) Pinedale, WY; Wade Brost (Lori) Cowley, WY. Her siblings and their spouses: Clay Boyd Newton, UT; Barbara Boyd Golder Menan, ID; JoAnne Boyd Edwards New Bern, NC; Michael Boyd (Linda) Lehi, UT; DeWitt Boyd (Sharrell) Sheridan, WY; Melva Boyd Huffman (Roger) Eagle Point, OR.

Patsy is also survived by 33 Grandchildren, 102 Great Grandchildren and 33 Great-Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Emil Brost (Husband) and Jackie Brost (Daughter).
