Ruth Viola Napier was born in Geneva Co., AL, the daughter of Benjamin Ennett Napier and Julia Ann Hughes Napier. She married William Henry King on Dec. 25, 1912, and was the mother of Ernest Graves King, Winifred King Reynolds and Jeannette King Jones. She was widowed with three children by March 31, 1920, and joined other married sisters in Columbus, Muscogee Co., GA, in order to work in the textile and hosiery mills to support her family during the depression years. She spent her final years in CA, where her two daughters lived, and after her death, she was returned to Rehobeth Cemetery to be buried beside her beloved Henry.
