Born in Bonifay, Holmes Co., FL, he was the son of Florence Edna Grubbs and Zachariah A. King. He married Ruth Viola Napier in Rehobeth, Houston Co., AL, on Dec. 25, 1912. Their three children were Ernest Graves King, Winifred King Reynolds and Jeannette King Jones. William Henry King was working in a sawmill in Noma, Holmes Co., FL, when he died of influenza. Ruth took him back to Rehobeth, Houston Co., AL, to be buried in the Rehobeth Cemetery where her parents and many family members are buried.
