Mrs. Lorene A. Garrett, 97, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Garrett was born January 30, 1910 in Chambers County, Alabama, daughter of the late James Edward and Vena Amanda McClendon Adams. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church, the Gladys Harry Circle, and the Ladies Bible Class. She attended Lakeview Baptist Church. She was retired from Muse Clothing Store and Ideal Cleaners as a seamstress.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Anne Garrett of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Gonzalo Huamon of Sanford, FL; daughter-in-law, Frannie Garrett of Baltimore, MD; nine grandchildren including a special grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Steve and Missy Garrett of LaGrange; 19 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Beth Shuler, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63½ years, John C. Garrett, and two sons, Bruce Garrett and Perry Garrett.

The funeral services will be at 2:00 Thursday at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Pastor Robert Brooks officiating. Interment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
