…Lowell Lee Hageman 87, of Colesburg passed away March 2, 2004, at the Guttenberg Care Center after a lingering illness. As per Lowell's wishes, he will be cremated.

Lowell was born May 13, 1916, to Albert and Bertha (Hansel) Hageman at Elkport.

He received his education in the Elkport/Garber area.

He was united in marriage to Wilma Debes.

He was especially proud of being a World War II Veteran and serving under General George Patton (U.S. Army PVT). After his tour of duty in the service was completed, they lived in the Strawberry Point and Colesburg areas and he was employed as a transportation driver for several years.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl (Raymond) HEYER of Cedar Rapids, and Mayris MYERS of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren, Steven (Kathleen) Heyer of Cedar Rapids, Brett (Barbara) Kleppe of Madison, Wisconsin, Kelli (Michael) Becker of El Paso, Texas, Brian (Michelle) Kleppe of Richland Center, Wisconsin, Trevor Horkheimer of El Paso, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Benjaman, Kathryn, Meleah, Ashley, Mikaela, and Chelsey; two sisters, Fern Furgeson of Colesburg, and Bernice (Harlan)Holthaus of Strawberry Point; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma in 1988; son-in-law Charles Myers; and brother-in-law, Dale Furgeson.
