Funeral service for Freddie Eugene Sparkman, 76, will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Brad Roath and Bro. Phillip Steele officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Sparkman died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1946, in Jefferson County, to Anderson Bryant Sparkman and Mary Elizabeth Hartselle Sparkman.
He was employed with Goss Electric, involved in Construction and as an Instrumentation Technician, prior to his retirement. He was a 1965 graduate of Morgan County High School and served with the Army National Guard. He was a member of the New Beginnings Gospel Group and had a huge heart for animals, especially his dog, Butch.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother: Jerry Sparkman, and a sister: Shirley Johnson.
