Ms. Mary Anna Allen, age 78 of Algood died Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. She was born June 10, 1944 in Jackson County to the late Charlie Allen and Estelle Mabry Allen.
Mary Anna was a 1964 graduate of the former Algood High School. She was a longtime associate at Fleetguard, working in their accounting department until retirement. She was a lifetime member of the Algood Church of Christ and taught Sunday school at the church for over 40 years.
She was independent, loving and devoted to her family. She enjoyed time spent outside and enjoyed working with her hands cross stitching.
Her adoring family includes her sister: Dian (Jim) Batey of Fayetteville; brothers: Charley Lewis (Pat) Allen and Rellon (Hazel) Allen - all of Cookeville; sister in law: Brenda Gore Allen; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Shirrel Allen and Bob Allen.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 12th at Algood Church of Christ with Bro. John Chowning officiating. Interment followed in Algood City Cemetery.
