Memorial services for Bob Edward Allen, age 71, of Algood, will be at 12 noon Monday October 21 at Algood Church of Christ.
Bob passed away suddenly Wednesday October 16, 2019 from injuries he sustained from an automobile accident. He was born January 5, 1948 in Putnam County, TN to the late Charlie Allen and Estelle Mabry Allen.
Bob was a member of Algood Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a well respected former brick mason and later worked and retired from Fleetguard.
Bob was an avid trader and motorcyclist. He enjoyed antique cars and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Gore Allen, whom he married October 22, 1974 in Jackson County, TN; daughter, Amy Fox (husband, Bryann); two sons, Robert Allen (wife, Laura), David Allen (wife, Janielle), all of Cookeville; two sisters, Mary Anna Allen of Algood, Dian Batey (husband, Jim) of Fayetteville, TN; two brothers, Charley Lewis Allen (wife, Pat), Rellon Allen (wife, Hazel) all of Cookeville; three grandsons, Eli and Jack Fox, and Joseph Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Shirrel Allen.
