A member of 45 Baptist Church, Mrs. Leatherwood is also survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Mercer, Wanda Kay Leatherwood, both of Moscow; two brothers, J. Tacker and the late Blanche Reeves Tacker, early residents of the LaGrange area. She was married October 21, 1936, at the age of 15 to Gurtis J. Leatherwood, longtime Fayette County farmer, who survives. After their marriage, Mr. & Mrs. Leatherwood moved to the Moscow area where they have resided since 1936. Mrs. Leatherwood was a homemaker and was a member of the 45 Baptist Church near Moscow. She devoted her life to her family, friends and community and enjoyed preparing food for her family and others. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was associated with her husband in the operation of the family farm for many years. In addition to her husband of 71 years, Mrs. Leatherwood is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Mercer and Wanda Kay Leatherwood, both of Moscow; two brothers, J.T. Tacker of Moscow, Albert Tacker of Chicago, IL and 2 grandchildren. Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Glenn Harvey, James Sides, Jay Minor, J.T.
