Mrs. Fransis Holland
dear Aunt I now set my self to write you a few lines to let you know that we are all well at this time hopeing these few lines will reach you injoying the same happiness of life well Aunt we are in a fine country. we broke our selves nearly up to move but we have got more now than we had in Texas. we have got a nice bunch of cattle and a nice bunch of gentel hogs and plenty of horses we are living in a half of mild of Alfred and sister Inda(?) well Aunt I want to know all about uncle Tom. whether he got well of that hurt that he got in Goliad, or not if he is alive tell him to come to see us we live in the Chickasaw Nation I.T. we have bin here nearly 18 months tell uncle Tom that Nancy is married and lives about one hundread miles from us she Married a man by the name of Buckelew and he carried her to texas about 3 month ago and she has not bin back sence to see me But I think she will come back Christmas I have got a big fat baby he is ten month old tell uncle Tom his name is Louin Crusoe tell uncle Tom that Thomas is going to the Potawatmia (?) Nation in the spring to look at that country. Inda(?) said that she was here in the Nation still alive she (sends) her best respecks and love to you on more at preasant. write soon and fail not I send my Best respecks and love to you all.

Homemade marker is very hard to read. It appears to give her death year as 1882, but since she wrote this letter in 1890, that would not be correct. Year 1882 has been removed from this memorial until further info is obtained.
