Rosalie was united with her Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was born on March 12, 1931, to Benjamin and Vera (Tousley) Batdorf. She was the third oldest daughter out of eleven girls born to this union. She was raised in Dexter, KS, graduating from Dexter High School in 1949. Rosalie married Donald Edward Cassaw on September 1, 1950. They made their home in Arkansas City. In 1961, Donald passed away, leaving behind Rosalie, and their three children, Rose Ann, Donald, and Benny.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City. Wayne Robbins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
On April 14, 1970, Rosalie was united in marriage to George M. Hain. On this date, she became the bonus mom to Brad, Kathy, Randy, and Shelley. To complete their chaos they added two more kids, Eldon and Rhoda into their brood in the years that followed.
Rosalie was a devoted wife, mother, and servant of God. Her family and faith were the things she valued the most in life. Those left to honor her name are her sisters, Velma Stilley (Al), Margaret Karcher, Susie Kincaid, and Kay Batdorf, her children and step-children Rose Ann Gomez, Kathy Marr (Phillip), Randall Hain, Benny Cassaw (Jan), Shelley Mitchell, Eldon Hain (Carrie), and Rhoda MacLaughlin-Ramirez (Patrick), numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
