FUNERAL TO BE THURSDAY.
Carbondale. June 12.—Thomas R. Jones, a resident of Forest City for sixty-three years and a former mine foreman for the Hillside Coal and Iron Company, died last evening at 6 o'clock in his home, 518 Maple Street, following an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Jones was born in Wales and came to Forest City when a boy. He was employed by the Hillside Coal and Iron Company for more than forty years, most of that time as a foreman at No. 2 Shaft. He was a member of the Forest City Methodist Church.
Surviving were his wife, Helene: following daughters and sons, Mrs. Ralph Bailey, Forest City: Mrs. Lester White, Waymart; Mrs. Fred Kott. Mount Clair, New Jersey; Mrs. Thomas Pollock, Forest City; Alex, Vestal. New York; Fred, Carbondale, and George and Thomas. Endicott, New York; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Lance, Scranton; fifteen, grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His funeral was held with Reverend Mr. Card of the Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was in Old Colonial Mausoleum, Uniondale.
