Helene L. Jones, Forest City, Dies
CARBONDALE--Mrs. Helene Lilje Jones, 77, died this morning at 1 in her home, 518 Maple Avenue Forest City.
Born in Celle, Hanover, Germany, she came to Forest City with her parents at the age of 12 and had lived there ever since. She was a member of the Forest City Methodist Church and was active in its work. Her husband, Thomas R. Jones, died five years ago.
Surviving were four sons, Alec G, Vestal, New York; Fred R., Carbondale, and George T. and Thomas D. Endicott New York; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Baileys and Mrs. Thomas Pollock, Forest City; Mrs. Lester White, Waymart, and Mrs, Arthur Johns, Carbondale;. 15 grandchildren, three great-grand children and several nephews and nieces.
The funeral was held from the home with Reverend Floyd Crispel, Forest City Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Old Colonial Mausoleum, Uniondale.
