Wayne B. Gaskill, died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at the age of 82. Born in Wann, Okla., on June 19, 1925, Wayne grew up in Oklahoma, until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1943, where he served in WWII. After his service, he married Bethel Imogene Moore and moved to California. Wayne was the owner-operator of Wayne Gaskill Trucking.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bethel Gaskill; sons, Robert Gaskill and wife Robbin, and Rodney Gaskill; daughters, Sharon Sue Pangburn and husband John, and Betty Ann Holt and husband William. Brothers Ronnie Archie Moore and Richard Frank Gaskill and Sisters Evelyn LeVaughn (Hasseberg) Lucas and Anna Louise (Gaskill) Woolam. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Archie and Anna MayBelle (Moore)(Hasseberg) Gaskill; and son, Darrell Gaskill, and brothers Lloyd Russell, Aaron Archie, Lebert Luke, Leon Verlin, and James Robert Gaskill, Harl Virgil, Alfred Edward Jr.,"June" and William Alfred Hasseberg, and sisters Elizabeth Laurine(Hasseberg) Reese, Doris Fern (Gaskill) Van Eck, and Elanora Ethelyn "Tootles" (Hasseberg) Edens.
Services: A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 22, at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland with Pastor Sinclair officiating. Memorial donations in Mr. Gaskill's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
