Obituary from "Blackwell Morning Tribune," Blackwell, Ok., dated Tuesday, June 23, 1936, page 5:

"HULDA SCHNEEBERGER

Mrs. Hulda Schneeberger was born in Indiana, January 15, 1852. She died at her home in Blackwell, at 6 o'clock Saturday morning, aged 84 years, 5 months, and 5 days.

Her husband and 10 children preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her death, one son, Asa, of Blackwell; three step-children, Dan, of Blackwell, William, of Caldwell, and Belle, of Colorado; three brothers, Elijah, of Fall River, Kans., Ransom, of New Albany, Kans., Allen, of Freedonia, Kans.; one sister, Laura, of Grey Horse, Okla.

Three grandchildren, Johnie Edwards, of Ponca City, Richard and Betty Ann, of Blackwell; 13 step-grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a wide circle of friends.

She was united in marriage to D.S. Schneeberger in 1878. To this union was born eleven children. Mrs. Schneeberger, when a girl, of eighteen years, united her faith in the Lutheran church, where she kept her faith in God until the end came.

Interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery."

Hulda was married twice. the first to Joel E. Jackson, on December 5, 1869, in Wilson county, Kansas. There were at least 2 children:
#1 Laura E. Jackson Whiteside (married Arthur Whiteside). Laura died in 1895 from consumption.
#2 Dicy/Dicie A. Jackson Merritt/Marriott (married Benjamin Franklin Merritt/Marriott, in December 1891.
Hulda's second marriage was to Daniel S. Schneeberger, on January 30, 1879, in Wilson county, Kansas. Daniel had been married first to Martha Jane Kelley. Daniel and Martha had at least 4 children; Mary Belle (married Jasper E. Will), Daniel H. (1871-1953), William Milton (1877-1953), and John S. (1878-1878). Martha Jane died December 4, 1878. Hulda and Daniel had at least 4 children that I could find; Asa Ellsworth (1892-1940), Lorene/Lorena A. Leming(s), (1881- 1906 Married John Zerah Leming(s), April 1904 They had at least one child, Leo Elroy, born 1905. After the death of Lorena, John Leming remarried to Myrtle Ebright in 1916, in Powers county, Colorado. They divorced in 1929), Clinton Schneeberger (1887-1887), and Oscar Schneeberger (1889-1890).
