On Sunday, January 15, 2023, my dear little canary passed away...
Her name was Little Miss Pippilotta, but I was allowed to call her Lottie.
I don't know, how old she was... she was a little 'refugee'..., maybe she has escaped from somewhere or has been abandoned.
No one knows...
Once she flew into the accounting office at a former work, and before that, she found shelter in a sparrow commune and was seen taking a refreshing dip with the sparrows.
We had her for a couple of days in the accounting office and at the reception during the day, by night we brought her back into the accounting office, so that she can sleep in rest. The night shift receptionist checked on her at night, to make sure all is ok with her...
One resident (it was an assisted living home for seniors) put up pictures of Lottie outside, to let the people know we had an 'migrant' canary...,but no one came to pick her up.
Then I took her home with me...
Unfortunately I don't own no good pictures of her..., she was always afraid of my phone, so it was not that easy to take some proper pics of her..., not afraid of our cat Maggie, but of a phone...
...and she loved traveling ! Last year in June a friend and I spent some days in Heringsdorf, Baltic Sea, and we took that little Lottie with us. She enjoyed the car ride (no fear at all, very cool, confident little passenger), and she loved the fresh sea air and the laughter of the seagulls as well !!

She was with me since May 26th, 2019... and it also was a Sunday, when I took her home after late shift.

Dear little Lottie is buried in a friend's garden, beside my cat Pauli.

I love you, Lottie..., it's sad to know that I can not bring you back to the Baltic Sea any more, how I said I would... I'll be missing you and your sweet little face.

The cats and Keecy will take care of you now, you are so tiny and fragile...

...until we meet again.

Thank you so much, Renée, for honoring my little Lottie's memorial with your sponsorship.
I know, it means so much for my Lottie..., and so to me too !!
