A native of Bertie County, she was the wife of Scarborough Parker.
She was a member of Connaritsa Baptist Church.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frank Whitaker, Mrs. D. A. Byrd of Aulander, and Mrs. David Sylvia of Suffolk; a son Roy Parker of Ahoskie; four sisters, Mrs. Paul Hoffler and Mrs. Jack Truitt of Portsmouth, Mrs. Clifton Ward of Windsor, and Mrs. Annie Minton of Suffolk; a brother, Linwood Bazemore of Virginia Beach; and 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. in Garrett Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Heath and the Rev. Nelson Vinson. Burial will be in Aulander Cemetery.
