Thomas Lee Dentino of Peoria, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 66. He was born on April 11, 1956.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Dentino. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Galleger (Bob); Sisters, Laurie Dentino and Rhonda Galleger; Brother, Greg Dentino (Leiala); three sons, Justin Dentino (Sara), Kyle Dentino (Ashley), Teague Dentino (Heather) and eight beautiful grandchildren.
Tom spent much of his life in the Peoria area. He graduated from Manual High School in 1974 and then attended Illinois Valley Community College. He was a significant member of the football programs for both schools. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Eastern Illinois University and spent the front end of his career employed by County and State Health Departments. Tom went on to be self-employed for the later part of his career owning multiple small businesses, of which he was very proud. Tom was a true football enthusiast and loved watching his sons continuing with this interest. He enjoyed fishing, he had a passion for fish aquariums, and he loved being the life of the party.
The family will have a memorial visitation in Tom's honor on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 2pm-3pm at Schmidt-Haller Burial & Cremation Services, 1625 Candletree Drive Suite D, Peoria, IL 61614.
