Mrs. Warren was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter ofHorace and Mattie Crook Brookshire. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William George Warren who died in 1957, and by a son, William G. Warren, Jr., and a daughter, Georgia Christopher.

She was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church.
