George went by "Carl" or "G. Carl" Alderman most of his life. His obituary:

George Carl Alderman of Baltimore, Maryland, died September 4, at the age of 89.

Born in Lake Butler, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Alderman. He graduated from Lake Butler High School in 1916 and from the University of Florida in 1920. He lived in Baltimore for the past 65 years.

Memorial services for Mr. Alderman were held in the Gregory Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore where he had been a member for more than 50 years.

Survivors include two sons, George Carl, Jr., and Robert Bruce Alderman; six grandchildren and one great grandson, all of Baltimore; two sisters, Mona Canova and Blanche Otto, both of Starke.

Burial was in Baltimore, beside his wife, Laura Strickland Alderman, who died in February 1984.
