Marion Smith Evans, 83, of Evington, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Marvin Scott Evans.
Born in Lynchburg, on January 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. Smith and Frances Chenault Smith. She was a member of Langhorne Chapel. She retired form Fidelity National Bank.
She is survived by two sons, Marshal Evans (Debbie) and Stacy Evans (Kelly); one daughter, Robin Choo (Charles); one sister, Michaelle Sciberras; one brother, Richard Smith (Debra); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Virginia Memorial Park with Pastor Dwight Weaver officiating.
