Roy E. Findley, 64, of 520 Green St., was pronounced dead on arrival at the Osteopathic Hospital today at 4:30. He was taken to the hospital by police from the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Alberta Burlew, 617 Almanac Ave. He had been under the care of a physician for a heart condition. Before he became ill he had been employed by the Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Co. Born in Lancaster County, a son of the late Ezra and Dora Houck Findley, he resided in this city for 25 years. Surviving are his wife, Emma Mimm Findley; two step-sons, Woodrow and William Bensinger, both of Lancaster; a brother, Ralph Findley, Landisville; and a half-brother, Ralph Ames, Lancaster.
