Mrs. Nettie Marie Coy, 96, of Carrollton, Kentucky, formerly of Madison, and daughter of the late William Henry and Ona (Parker) Jones, was born October 23, 1926, in Trimble County, Kentucky. She held many positions and retired as Inspector at US Shoe Factory. She was a member of the Milton Wesleyan Church until it closed and moved to Madison Calvary Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed reading and had a passion for coloring. Mrs. Coy passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 6, 2023 at her home in Carrollton.

Her life will be cherished by her children: Nancy (Skip) Collier, of Carrollton, Larry (Rosie) Burns, of Madison, Indiana, and Ronnie Burns, of San Antonio, Texas; her 11 grandchildren; her 26 great-grandchildren; and her 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father on March 10, 1970; her mother on August 1, 1975; her first husband, Joseph Burns on May 10, 1981; her second husband of 33 years, Harold Coy on November 27, 2016; her sisters: Ruth Irwin, LaVerne Burchfield, and Mary K. Jones; her brothers: Johnny Jones, Nunnelly Jones, and Robert Jones; her grandson, Christopher L. Burns on February 20, 1976; and several nieces and nephews.

Brother Wayne W. Mahnoney will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 11, 2023 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023, and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Mt. Tabor Wesleyan Church.
