Stone reads: aged 66Ys & 12 Ds and has the following poem: Long afflictions have I borne
Physicians were in vain
Until Christ pleased to give me ease
And rid me of my pain -- CH Sudbury
The Burches were educated people in a time when the average farmer couldnt read. That legacy lives on in their decendants. Charles married Jane Oliphant on Jan 20, 1834 in a double wedding with his brother Achillies Burch and Janes sister Margaret Oliphant.
