"Funeral services for Abram Bowman were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Breit Funeral Home in charge of Rev. O. H. Loomis. Burial was in the Savannah cemetery.
Abram Bowman was born in Andrew county on May 7, 1850, and passed away at his home in Savannah at 12:45 p.m. Monday, August 17, 1931, at 81 years, 3 months and 10 days.
He is survived by one sister, Miss Fannie Bowman of Savannah. His twin brother, George, died last spring. Two sisters, Mrs. Maria Kelley and Mrs. Emma Mize, are also deceased. A brother, Gist Bowman, died many years ago.
Mr. Bowman had lived in this community his entire life. He was a quiet, peace-loving and accomodating neighbor. All who knew him respected him and he has gone to a just reward.
