Keith Wayne Larsen

Keith Wayne Larsen passed peacefully on November 6, 2022.

Keith was born July 9, 1947, to Grant F. Larsen and Leda Curtis. Many hours of his childhood were spent on the family farm in Provo, Utah, where he learned the value of hard work. He attended Provo High School (class of 1965) and Brigham Young University. He married the love of his life, Marlo "Jeanne" Ferrell, on December 12, 1970. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles California Temple on September 4, 1979, and enjoyed 50 years of marriage. There was no "Keith" and "Jeanne"—it was always "Keith and Jeanne." Keith has deeply missed his sweet companion.

Keith and Jeanne spent many years in Glendora, California, where Keith was the managing editor for Price Books and Forms for 40 years. The last 20 years were spent in Murrieta, California. Keith always served faithfully in his callings and assignments as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Two of his favorites were serving with Jeanne in the San Diego California Temple and their church service mission at the Murrieta bishop's storehouse.

Keith and Jeanne centered their lives around their children and serving their family and friends. He led by example and was often the first to offer help. Many have remarked how he was always the first to show up to assist someone in need (especially with moves!).

Baseball was his one true sport. He loved to watch the Dodgers. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt for a friend. He was an exceptional father who always took care of his children and did his best to teach and guide them. He never cared much about himself, and even in his final days, wanted to spend his time hearing what was going on in the lives of others.

Knowing the end was near, Keith was able to spend quality time with his family and make personal contact with many of those that meant so much to him. Right up until the end, he inspired many with his positive, cheerful attitude in happy anticipation of reuniting with Jeanne in heaven.

The family wants to express their deepest gratitude to Keith's friends and the members of the Church for their selfless service to him and his family, and to all the caregivers who provided invaluable care for so many years.

Keith is survived by his brother Randy K. Larsen (Barb); one son, Kevin Craig Larsen (Mariana); 3 daughters, Kristyn Hofheins (Clarence); Kim Doman (Scott); Kara Lyn Taft (Matt). He took extreme pride in his 8 Grandchildren—Taggert Butler (Alba), Tabytha Hofheins, Hampton Butler, Brooklyn Taft, Ashlyn Taft, Maddelyn Taft, Mateo Larsen, Roman Larsen and 1 great grandchild, Enzo Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne; two brothers, Roger Grant Larsen, Dennis Howard Larsen; and two sisters, Norma L. Williamson, Barbara L. Humphries.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 1021 South 500 West, Provo, Utah, at 1:00 p.m. Join us for a luncheon and root beer floats immediately following. The dedication of the grave will take place at Provo City Cemetery.
