Early Life: Dennis was born November 5, 1939, in Provo, Utah, the son of Grant Frederick and Leda Curtis Larsen. He grew up in Provo, graduating from Provo High School in 1958 and Brigham Young University in 1964.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Chrsit of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States Mission. During his mission, he was involved in developing a new missionary teaching program for the LDS Church that was adapted churchwide and resulted in thousands of people joining the Church. He continued missionary work throughout his entire life. Dennis was a successful salesman. His started selling home grown corn on the cob from his family’s garden for 39 cents a dozen and Christmas cards, door to door, at the tender age of five. This developed into a lifelong career selling many different things, including women’s shoes, computer software for John Deere farm equipment retailers, major appliances, real estate, and insurance. He also worked at a publishing company, Price Books and Forms in Azusa, California, along with his brother, Keith, and brother-in-law, Reid Williamson. Dennis had many endearing attributes. He was an easy conversationalist, had a good sense of humor, and had a great love for genealogy and family storytelling. Dennis found great enjoyment in the written word, athletics (both as a participant in his younger years and as an observer throughout his life), and a home-cooked meal. Most precious to him was his testimony of Jesus Christ and his love for the gospel.
