William H. Kratzer, Jr., 82, of Elmira, NY and formerly of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Elcor Nursing & Rehab Center. He and his wife, Dana (Laitenberger) Kratzer, shared 22 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William H. Kratzer, Sr. and Christine (Ruppert) Kratzer. Bill was a graduate of Allentown High School. He worked as an airplane parts pattern maker in Lansdale, was a crane operator at Mack Trucks and was a pattern maker at Bridesburg Foundry in Fullerton. Bill attended the Allentown Mennonite Church and the Victory Highway Wesleyan Church – Elmira Campus, where he was active in the Men's Group. Bill was an avid fisherman and member of Grouse Hall and Ranger Lake. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he was known as Pappy to everyone!

Survivors: His wife, Dana Kratzer of Northampton; daughters, Cynthia Barber and her husband Richard of Elmira, NY and Theresa Eisenhard and her husband Kenneth of Allentown; son, William H. Kratzer, IV and his wife Angela of Northampton; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 7 step-children and their families. Bill was preceded in death by sisters Pearl Hoffman, Ruth Entler, Violet Malitsch, May Yanek and Elinor Karlovic.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
