She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Amzel Fortner and Berdean Beasley, and a brother Orville Glenn Rolle.
She is survived by two nephews, Dr. William Fortner of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Danny Beasley of Milltown, Indiana as well as numerous cousins and her long time caregivers Pat and Raymond Beasley of Curby, Indiana.
She was a faithful member of the Rock Springs Church in Valence, Indiana, where she was pianist and accordionist. Lavone was a graduate of Leavenworth High School in 1952 and attended Indiana University and the University of Louisville. She worked for many years at the social services department of the Veterans Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a faithful caregiver to her parents, brother, and sister for many years.
She very much enjoyed traveling, visiting many states as well as missionary work in Costa Rica. Lavone so much enjoyed her yearly trips to Gatlingburg and Florida with her brother and sister. She was a wonderful cook and everyone loved her parties at home at Christmas. She loved her pet animals and gardening at her home in Curby.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm with visitation starting at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Interment will follow in the El Bethel Cemetery. Bro. Mark Manship will offiiciate the service.
