Obituary.
Clarence Ausmus, who was born August 14, 1879, in Adams county, Ill., died at his home about four miles west of Versailles, September 17, 1906 [1909], aged 30 years, 1 month, and 11 days. He was married to Nora Patton January 2, 1904 [1905]. To them were born three children, two boys and a girl, ranging in ages from two to five years, the youngest being a girl. This leaves a young woman in rather poor health with these young helpless ones to care for and commands our greatest sympathy. Deceased had been in poor health with lung trouble and finally succumbed to that fatal disease, consumption. The funeral services were at the residence conducted by Rev. B. A. McCoy. Burial at the John R. Briggs cemetery.
