CANADA. Ky. - Emma Blackburn Elswick Williamson, 84, of Canada, Ky., died Sunday at the Methodist Hospital of Pikeville.
Born July 15, 1901, she was a daughter of the late Paris and Leona Blackburn. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Grover Clarence Elswick and Charlie Williamson, a daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by five sons, Lawrence Elswick Sr. and Robert Lewis Elswick, both of Canada, and Floyd B. Elswick, Willie Fonzo Elswick and Sonny Elswick, all of Elyria, Ohlo; two daughters, Emogene West and Ina Gay Ray, both of Canada; three step-sons, David, Harold and Bruce Williamson, all of Ohio: two step-daughters, Joyce Simms and Helen Smith, both of Ohio; a brother, Roy Blackburn, of Canada, 33 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. this evening in the funeral home chapel and there will be special services at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church at Canada.
Elders Robert Worrix, Elmer Thacker and Don Hatfield will ofFiciate. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Canada.
