Rogersville - James Woods, 68, died Sunday (May 23, 1999) at U.T. Hospital after a brief illness.
He attended Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren. He was a veteran of the Korean War, U.S. Marines. He was retired from A.F.G.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and Willie Woods; one sister; and three brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Woods, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Jamie Woods, Whitesburg and Andy and Sonja Woods, Johnson City; one sister, Ruth Brooks, Rogersville; two brothers, Oman Woods and Eugene Woods, both of Rogersville.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Johnny Carr and the Rev. Tim Kite officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery by the Hawkins County Color Guard.
