Anderson was the 2nd son of Michael and Rachael Young and came with them to TX in 1829. He married Rachel Matilda [Til] Gooch, daughter of Benjamin and Rachel [Campbell] Gooch. After her death he married Harriet Power Ayers Noe. They moved from Bell Co. to Dickens Co. shortly before Rachel's death.
