She married John Barr Myers in 1888 and to this union were born four children: Annie, Ethel Mayne, John Mayne and Alfred Forbes. Annie only lived five months and Ethel lived for nine months. Both died in Eaton, Co. Ella died at the age of 46 , in Pasadena, Ca., from Tuberculosis leaving her husband and two Sons.

We find the folowing item in Tusday's issue of the Oneonta Star: J. Mayne has recently received intelligence of the death, at her home in Pasadena, Cal., on Friday last, of his daughter. Mrs. Ella M. Myers, wife of John B. Myers. The deceased was a native of Gilbertsville, this county, and resided there, baring her absence from the village securing her education, until about 13 years ago. Then she removed to Kansas and later to Colorado, where she resided until about five years ago, when the family returned to Otsego county, remaining here until three years ago, since which time they have been located in Pasasdena, California. Her health has been impaird some time and last May Mrs. Mayne went to Calfornia and has been with her since. Her death was caused by consumption. Her immediate family surving consists of husband and two sons, three and six years of age, respectively.
