Edith "Diane" Bonnett, age 76, of Cobbtown, Ga, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons, Ga.

Born November 7, 1946, in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of Rufus and Relda Rewis. Diane has resided in Cobbtown for most of her life. She lived in the area working as a private caretaker for many years. Diane was a member of Hillside Church of God for most of her life but was most recently a member of the Metter Church of God. Diane had a love for fishing, whether she caught many or few, she enjoyed the hobby. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she adored. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Buster Rewis and her sister, Mary Edwards.

Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia (Marty) Oliver of Surrency, Ga, and Tammie Barrow of Cobbtown, Ga; a son, Anthony Barrow of Cobbtown, Ga; her brothers, Theron Rewis of Savannah, Ga, and Earl Rewis of Richmond Hill, Ga; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 1 until 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

Interment will be at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation as well as the staff of Bethany and Affinis Hospice for the care they took of their mother.
