Jessie Lee Hensley, age 65, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at his residence.

Jessie was a native of Elizabethton, TN, and longtime resident of McMinn County. He was the son of the late Foy and Ruth Puckett Hensley. He was also preceded by sisters Joann Coontz, Teresa Scalf, and Judy Rogers.

Jessie served as store manager at Dollar Tree and Dollar General Stores.

Jessie is survived by

Son Justin Hensley (Stephanie) of Madisonville;

Grandson Skylar Hensley;

Life Partner of 21 years John Lowery of Athens;

Sister Debbie Perry (Clarence) of Johnson City;

Special Friend Pat Hensley.

Celebration of Life will be at 2 PM Monday, November 28, 2022, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM – 2 PM Monday at Ziegler Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ziegler Funeral Home to aid with the funeral expenses.
