Rev. Foy D. Hensley, 81, 134 Lowridge Road, Johnson City, TN died Monday, January 30, 2006 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Unicoi County, TN he was the son of the late J. T. and Eller Tilson Hensley. He was a retired Pentecostal Minister and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hensley, November 13, 2003, three grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include four daughters, Joann Coontz, Junction City, KY; Debbie and her husband Clarence Perry, Elizabethton, TN; Judy and her husband Harold Atkins, Sweetwater, TN and Tresia and her husband Charles Scalf, Johnson City, TN; a son, Jessie Hensley, Athens, TN; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Mildred Campbell, Elizabethton, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for Rev. Foy D. Hensley will be conducted at 12:30 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2006 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Gennoe and Rev. Jodie Coontz officiating. Music will be under the direction of The Coontz Brothers. Interment will follow the funeral service in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearer will be Junior Street. Military honors will be accorded by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom V.F.W. Post #2166
