York — Andrew C. Kibler Jr. of York died at 1 p.m. yesterday at York Hospital after a brief illness. He was 71.
Mr. Kibler retired from U.S.E. Diamond, York, after seven years. Previously, he was employed at the former Naval Ordnance Plant for 25 years. He was a member of the N.O.P. Alumni.
He was a member of Goodwill Fire Co. No. 5 and former scoutmaster and assistant scoutmaster at Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was born in York, a son of the late Andrew and Matilda Kibler.
He leaves his wife, Henrietta O. Smeltzer Kibler; a son, Andrew C. Kibler III, Red Lion RD 2; three grandsons; a brother, Richard Kibler, York; a stepbrother, Elwood Miller, Dover; and a sister, Catherine Leik, Bechtelsville, Berks County.
Viewing is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial is to be in Mount Rose Cemetery with a flag presentation by York County Veterans Honor Guard.
