Jimmy attended Tahlequah High School where he graduated. He then attended college in Kansas. He took a position for Rainbow Sales and Service and worked for them for 20 years. After retiring from Rainbow, he gave his life to the Lord. He committed himself to serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He would sing and preach to the homeless at the gazebo in town and called it the "Church with no walls." He always told everyone to be prayed up, packed up and ready to go. He adored people and loved interacting with them every chance he had. He never tired of helping Brother Etter at the food pantry, DayStar Ministries, and loved making sure people who needed help received help. Jimmy eventually started his very own church, Liberty Mission, with 14 years of preaching and ministering and leading others to Christ.

When he wasn't working in the ministry he liked to make jerky, taking his pontoon boat out, he liked to fish and collecting vintage coins and Hot Wheels. Jimmy loved to bowl and you could say he was a borderline professional.

He loved spending time with the family he loved and adored. They made him so happy. He married his life partner, Kathleen Lareeca Mose in August 11, 1979. They had three sons, Michael, Jimmy and Darin, and three grandchildren, Michaela, Michael Jr., and Kobe.

Jimmy Dale Briggs Sr. passed form this life on November 20, 2022 in Tulsa, OK. He was 64 years old. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and mother, two brothers, Robert "Bob" and Earl Leon Briggs, and two sisters Vivian Briggs and Linda Sue Miller.

Those left to celebrate his homegoing include his wife, Kathleen Briggs of the home, his sons, Michael Mose Sr. and companion Amanda Goins of Welling, Ok, Jimmy Briggs Jr. of Tahlequah, Ok and Darin Briggs of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves his brothers and sisters, Michael Nalley and wife Linda of Woodall, OK, Bryan Briggs of Tahlequah, Ok, Margaret Walker and husband Gary of Woodall, Ok, Carol Denney and Dwain of Woodall, OK, Earlene Von Fumetti of Carlsbad, CA, Velta Edwards of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jeanne Hobson and husband Fred of El Reno, OK and Linda Gail Webster of Tahlequah, OK. His legacy lives on in his three grandchildren, Michaela Mose, Michael Mose Jr., and Kobe Trey Briggs, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all their church family at Liberty Mission for all the love and support they have shown them during their bereavement. You are so special to us. God Bless You All.
