Charles David Brashears, age 79, died Friday, November 18, 2022, at his home in Sikeston, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 5, 1943, in Charleston to the late Charles William "Bill" Brashears and Ruby Lee Hurley Brashears. He grew up in Mississippi County but had lived in Sikeston for a number of years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served from 1966 to 1968, and was employed with Prairie Farms Dairy until his retirement in 2003.

He was married on February 10, 1966, and his wife survives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings, Lucille, Retta Melba Jean, Carol Ruth, Beverly Ann, Jackie, Paula, Bill, Ivaleen and Rosie, and brother-in-law, John Hooper.

Graveside Services with military honors were held November 22, 2022 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. Pastor Jennifer Brashear officiated.
