He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1957, and went on to serve in the Army from 1962-1965.
Survivors include his wife, Elinor, 2 children, Christopher and Stephanie, 2 grandchildren, and sister, Gayle.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy, and an infant sister, Patricia Anna.
